CALISTHENICS SKILLS: MASTER THE MOST ADVANCED MOVES
OWN THE IMPOSSIBLE
In this section, you’ll find in-depth guides to the most jaw-dropping street workout and calisthenics skills—the ones that always turn heads at the park. But before you even think about trying them, it’s crucial to understand how these movements work. You need to learn the progressions, be aware of the risks, know which muscles are involved, and most importantly, be honest about your own limitations.
That’s exactly why I decided to dedicate real time to this part of the site—to build guides that are actually worth your while. Since they take a lot of effort to put together, I’m starting small and focusing on the most iconic skills (at least in my opinion): the muscle up, back lever, and front lever. Next, I’ll dive into the handstand, and eventually I’ll tackle more advanced moves like the planche, Victorian, and other next-level exercises.
Before you jump into the guides, just a quick heads-up: most of these are advanced skills and definitely not recommended if you’re just getting started with calisthenics. That said, the difficulty level varies a lot between them—some are surprisingly accessible even if you’re not a high-level athlete.
