HOW TO START CALISTHENICS: BEST PLACE TO LEARN BASICS
Are you thinking about getting into calisthenics? Not sure where to begin or how to train properly?
If that sounds like you, no worries — you’re in the right place to start calisthenics from scratch. I created this space to clear up all your doubts and give you everything you need to train safely and build real progress. With effort and consistency, you’ll learn to move and control your body, master advanced moves, and tackle challenging workouts. No excuses — just set your goals and go after them. Let’s get it!
WHAT EXACTLY IS CALISTHENICS?
The first thing you need to know about Calisthenics is that it’s a bodyweight-based discipline built around different types of exercises — including basics, statics, and dynamic movements. Just like in the gym, you can train for strength, hypertrophy, or endurance depending on your goals.
What sets it apart from other training styles are the signature moves (or “skills”) that really catch people’s attention. These skills add a motivational boost for athletes, making training more fun and offering tons of creative ways to push your limits and set new goals.

BEST CALISTHENICS EXERCISES
Before jumping into full workouts, it’s important to learn the basic calisthenics exercises and perform them with proper form. Don’t have a park nearby? No worries — most of these movements can be done at home without any special equipment. Once you understand the technique, muscles involved, and difficulty level, you’ll be ready to add them to your workouts and start putting them into practice.
This section is organized by the main muscle groups typically targeted in calisthenics. As you’ll see, it’s a bit different from gym training or other sports. That’s because in calisthenics, it’s not easy to isolate muscles — most movements are compound exercises, meaning you’ll be working several muscle groups at once.
That’s one of the biggest benefits of calisthenics compared to other training styles. So, pick the muscle group you’re most interested in, and start training today!
FREE CALISTHENICS WORKOUTS PLANS CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL!
If you’re just getting started with calisthenics and don’t know how to build a workout routine, don’t worry — I’ve got you covered.
I’ve put together a series of workout plans, most of them based on the training method I personally use. To complete them, you’ll be using the exercises from the previous section — so if you’re ever unsure about a movement, just check back there.
I know there are tons of different ways to train, and maybe this approach won’t be for everyone. But even if that’s the case, I hope you can still pick up some useful ideas to improve your own training plan.
That said, choose the workout plan best fits your goals — and keep in mind that reps, sets, and rest times are just guidelines. You’ll need to adapt everything to your own level and personalize the volume based on what works for you.

LEARN ADVANCED CALISTHENICS MOVES
READY FOR CHALLENGE?
In calisthenics, the more advanced moves are usually called “skills.” These exercises are seriously challenging and super fun — but you should never try them without a solid foundation first.
If you’re not there yet, no worries — you’ll find plenty of routines and exercises on this site to help you build the strength you need.
But if you’ve already done the groundwork, this section is where I’ll be sharing different skills as I learn them myself. I’ll walk you through what’s worked for me: the methods I’ve used, how I approached each move, and my personal take on each one.
That said, I strongly recommend checking out other sources too — this isn’t an exact science, and what works for me might not be the best fit for you.
Alright, enough talk — time to train. Pick a move and go for it!
